This Fall 2026, we’re introducing Alterre’s elevated take on animal print: the Jaguar V Slide.

She is always polished, never afraid of a fun pattern, and certainly always down to make a statement. But the true reason she is the television character most aligned with this shoe is her constant authenticity and incredible drive. She wears many hats throughout the show, both figuratively and literally, and this shoe is designed for that kind of woman. Whether you're putting the kids to sleep, performing your stand-up routine, or dismantling the patriarchy, these are the shoes you'll feel comfortable and chic doing it all in. Hence why they would be the ones Mrs. Maisel would reach for.

The owner of this shoe is probably going to order a gin and tonic. It's fresh, classic, and difficult to mess up. Every shelf features a belonging from her travels, evidence of the many lives she's lived and the plethora of hobbies she has picked up along the way. For someone choosing the Jaguar V Slide, Friday night plans will be anything but expected, and will definitely include a minimum of three locations. Her night might begin in her favorite jeans and a fall sweater as she heads to her niece's ballet recital. The most fitting song to play as these gorgeous shoes enter a room would have to be “I'm Every Woman”  by Chaka Khan. As you've probably gathered throughout this blog, this shoe was designed for the woman who wants to do it all. She doesn't fit into a box, anyone else's definition of her, or whatever roles they want her to play. She is fully and authentically every version of herself she has created. And therefore, this anthem feels more than fitting for her entrance.

What hobby does the owner of this shoe probably have?

The owner of this shoe definitely doesn't have just one hobby to pick from, and they're probably all things you've never heard of. She collects antique maps. She's part of a creative writing group for women. She recently got really into embroidery. She's an incredible ballroom dancer.  Like we said, she's a Jacqueline of all trades and will keep you on your toes.

What vacation are these shoes being worn on?

If these shoes are being worn on vacation, they're definitely being taken to Barcelona. They're walking across the city on days spent wandering cobblestoned streets, taking in the architecture, exploring markets and museums, stopping by the beach, and seeing everything else the city has to offer. And, of course, grabbing a sangria in between to soak up the Mediterranean sunshine.

What themed party is this shoe being worn to?

Although maybe not your first thought, it's entirely fitting: if these shoes were being worn to a themed costume party, they would perfectly slide into a Godfather theme. There's just something about animal print that screams mob wife, and this shoe fits the bill perfectly. Think fur coat, red lip, long nails, and oversized sunglasses.

What piece of art best embodies the energy of this shoe?

The piece that best matches the Jaguar V Slide is Self-Portrait with Thorn Necklace and Hummingbird by Frida Kahlo. This iconic self-portrait depicts Kahlo surrounded by a monkey, black cat, dragonflies, and butterflies, while wearing a talisman of a hummingbird around her neck. She was an icon who was always authentically herself, but that authenticity was made up of so many different passions and pursuits. And that's the beauty of the Jaguar V Slide.
