Since I’m finally
starting to feel like we may actually be able to start leaving our houses on a
regular basis again, I’m ready to start freshening up my wardrobe. It’s been a
minute since I’ve done any shopping - largely because I’ve been so unmotivated
by the way things are going. But it’s about time to shake off the quarantine
crust and get polished up for Spring!
Here are a few Spring
Style Trends I’m so excited to update my wardrobe with.
Chunky Heels in New
Spring Colors
Who thinks
heels are over? After a year of having nightlife, travel, and time with friends
interrupted I can’t blame you! I have been admiring my collection of sexy
stilettos, while living in sneakers, flip flops. and when working from home -
house slippers. But I’m ready to start transitioning into more stylish,
grown-up footwear for my Spring wardrobe refresh. I discovered Alterre Shoes
and fell in love hard! They make versatile shoes with interchangeable straps to
maximize your wearing options. They have everything from interchangeable
sandals to boots, all created ethically in Brazil. They have everything from
classic neutrals to super fun cow prints that will really make a statement.
I love the V-Mule
in classic white and glossy lilac. Both colors are absolutely perfect for
Spring. Plus with the interchangeable straps, you can have endless style
choices! I got the white mule, and plan to wear it with a matching white strap and
printed spring dresses. When I’m going for more simple look and want to let the
shoes pop more, I can just switch the strap for a fully new look – bold
snakeskin, funky cow prints, or a pop of color with high gloss red.

Baggy,
Boyfriend Denim
You may have
heard this before - but the younger generation is claiming skinny jeans are
over! I personally reject this statement. I love the casual sexiness of a pair
of tight fitted skinny jeans. Plus, since I’m a short girl with curves, a
skinny jean is naturally flattering to my body type. However I love playing
with new silhouettes. The boyfriend jean is always a classic, and I love this
drawstring waist paperbag fit for a super comfy, casual look. Skinny jeans may
not be over for me, but distressed ones definitely are. The look for Spring is
casual, cool and polished, and distressed denim can take your look into grunge
territory. Not a bad look, just not the main fashion trend of Spring 2021!

Nude Bodysuits
Call it the Kim Kardashian Skims effect, but all of a sudden fitted nude tanks are
EVERYWHERE. This is not the most flattering item on its own, but when styled
properly it can make an amazing statement. I have this tank in nude, black and
white, and it’s one of my staples. I can pair it with just about anything, and
if I want to jazz it up, I can add fun jewelry or throw on a blazer.

What are some of your favorite Spring style trends? Don’t forget to pair them all with interchangeable footwear from Alterre shoes!
